Don’t say or do
This is a trendy and enjoyable game for start-ups at get-togethers where invitees have not yet socialized or even met before; this game will help them get familiar. If you are hosting, distribute each one a clothes pin used for drying clothes and instruct everyone that you have thought of three words which they should not utter. These could be for example “marriage”, “groom”, “bride” or anything alike (which you forbid from pronouncing) - and these could be the expected ones at a shower bash for the bride. When someone utters either of these banned words and somebody else hears it, they will get their clothes pin from them. So this can go on during the whole bash, and the person who gathers the most pins has won. You can tweak this a little by asking people at the bash not to crisscross their legs or ankles. If they did it and someone else saw them doing this, they can get the clothes pin of the person crossing their legs. Here too, the one with the most number of clothes pins is the champion. |
