After the wedding you need a friend or two to help you invade the newly wed’s home for a couple of hours. You need to buy some cheap blowup dolls and some insulation foam in spray cans. You can get them from hardware stores (the cans not the blowup dolls!)
Loosely blow up a doll so that there is space ready for the foam to fill. You might need to use a knife or scissors to cut a small hole in the back of the doll so that you are able to use the spray can and fill it with foam. Now before the foam hardens arrange the doll in an amusing position somewhere in the house; swinging from a chandelier or light fixture, sitting on the toilet and so on. The person holding the shower puts a model ring or an ornament and bakes the cake. A piece of cake is given to all at the shower and the one who gets it will be the next to walk the aisle.
You can also try the same trick with cupcake instead. Keep the ring in one of these and have them distributed. Arrange for sweetmeats and adornments and give them each a cupcake. Announce a competition with the topic “best looking cupcake in the shower” and the one which is decked up the best will receive a reward. After deciding on the winner, just when everyone wants to have their cupcakes – tell them that the ring is in one of these cupcakes and whoever gets it will be the one to enter wedlock. Read more…
